Scary Spice – full name Melanie Brown - let slip that her shock coupling will be enshrined in holy matrimony this September, after being overheard chatting on a Trans-Atlantic flight.

The People reports Mel told a fellow passenger she will marry the film funnyman in Hollywood in a low-key family affair.

Mel – who was previously married to dancer Jimmy Gulzar – met recently-divorced Murphy whilst recording in Los Angeles.
