How hot is it in your area?
In Miami, it's a breezy and cloudy 79 degrees. It's been this way for a while. Ironically, the heat wave that is oppressing the nation has not made it down here.

7. When I lived in Tempe
The monsoons were my favorite time of the year. I just loved the moments before the storm pulled in, when it got cloudy and windy and humid. It reminded me of Miami.

But usually the temperatures would drop when the monsoons came in.

8. It's so funny to hear the tv reporters talk about the storms.
The least little bit of rain and you'd think we needed to start building an ark! LOL

I like the cool air after the storms too. But it can warm up pretty fast again.

23. Things haven't changed obviously
That is what used to piss me off out there. A monsoon comes and they act like it's a Category Five Hurricane. Meanwhile, I would be out there dancing in the rain.

I find it very wrong that it's cooler in Miami right now. Normally, it'd be 79 and breezy here.

10. my outside thermator says 103
and it SUCKS!!! I'm from alaska, I can't take this damn heat, why won't somebody shoot cruise missles at the SUN! I can't take it! I have no idea what the heat index is, but to me it feels like 108...I spent a few years out in Sacramento, and experienced high heat(top heat during my stay was 114), and todays temp reminds me of my years in Sac...

During that 114 temp day, I couldn't even smoke outside...the minute I went outside, it was like I stepped into a steam factory, and found it hard to breathe, and any small task I did outside, sapped me greatly....

But, today 103, in SW Missouri....heat index, HOT...HOT HOT

I'm in AC right now, but that's what the Weatherchannel site says.

We've been having afternoon showers, which drive down the thermometer. Yes, it's humid.

22. 106 yesterday, 107 today in OKC.
I actually saw one temperature board yesterday that said 116. I keep waiting for the trees to spontaneously combust.

It's supposed to drop into the 80s for the weekend--can't wait!
