It was 40 years ago today that Bobby Fuller was found dead at age 23
in his parked car in front of the Hollwood Hills apartment where he was staying. His body was beaten, a rag soaked in gasoline was stuck in his mouth, and a can of gasoline left inside the car. July 18, 1966.

And the LAPD officially ruled it a "suicide".

Uh, huh. "Suicide". Yeah, right. Obviously, there was some big-time "LA Confidential" corruption going on within the LAPD back then.

Bobby Fuller, up-and-coming rock 'n roller from El Paso, Tx. Best known for recording the original version of "I Fought The Law".

1. It seems as if the police did a crappy job of investigating.

2. So you're saying "he fought the law, and the law won"?
