She's only been there once. She and her two kids sold everything they didn't need, shipped what they did and she never looked back. I've never been good at picking people out of old photos unless it is REALLY obvious and I admire the ability in others to do so.

And yes, Mrs. Cecchini was indeed HOT and she usually did smile. She had a gorgeous smile, in fact. I guess she was just having an off day or maybe she didn't like having her photo taken or maybe at the time, she thought it was cool to look bored and unsmiling, I have no idea .... but hey, I was only 6 years old at the time :D

I am a court reporter, and work at law offices in the King and Bay area pretty much every day - TD Centre, 1st Canadian Place, etc.

I presently live in the east end, Danforth and Woodbine.

I came to Toronto from NY in '74 and although it's taken quite a few years, I've come to truly LOVE Toronto. For years I whined about 'going home' -- I've finally come to realize that this IS home, and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

I was a court reporter before I went to law school ... have since become a lawyer, and work at one of the Seven Sisters.... and last summer, I spent several weeks in discoveries on a long and drawn out case and one of the court reporters involved was named Nancy - and she (you?) did damned fine work, providing rough transcripts within hours ... was that you who sent me those rough transcripts after hours, going way above and beyond the call of duty?

If it was you, we had discussions during that time about the fact that I was a court reporter years earlier, etc.... talk about a small world! How many Nancys could there have been who were so dedicated and so terrific at their job?

But I think I know the 'Nancy' you're talking about. She is a steno-writer and provides real-time transcripts and rough drafts.

May I ask what law firm you're with? I did do one day of a dicovery on a very long case last summer (pinch-hitting for the regular reporter, who was double-booked that day) with a lawyer who was formerly a court reporter -- and yes, we did discuss that fact.
