Advice (non-cartoon related)? |
|
Don't know if this is the right place to ask this but....
This guy I've liked for a loooong time (I tend to get crushes for long periods of time) isn't talking to me anymore, ever since I asked him if he wanted to hang out. We've kinda been on and off, because I was pissed about some of the things he's said (I don't know how to describe him; he isn't a liberal like me, but I don't want to classify him as Republican either because I know he's too smart (he has a good vocabulary and you can just tell he's really smart) to be classified under that...but let's just say we're diametrically different politically). How can I like a non-liberal? Well, his dad is a part of one of my favorite music acts (I'm not going to say because that would a) give him away and b) make him really mad) and I think he's kinda cute, in a dorky sorta way. I'm just really confused on whether I really like him for who he is and all (I think he's hilarious and was quite nice to me (he got me backstage passes to one of his dad's shows), etc) or whether I just like him because of who his dad is. He doesn't go to my school, which makes things even more complicated because i NEVER see him and all.
Uggghhh...
Any advice on how to handle this is greatly appreciated. :)

2. Maybe the DU crew isn't sure how to advise you, sweetie... |
|
Since you are still very young, this crush most likely will not last forever. Smart girl to already know you are "diametrically different politically" from the guy, and that is your answer. While you can admire his looks and intelligence, in the long run it wouldn't work between you. It's the hard part of love relationships, learning what is good for us and what is not.

No one knows what to say in this situation...blehhhh...
I wanna be in college already so I can meet new people. I'm getting bored with my class size of 89 or so... :(

6. See, 4 more years and then off to college. While you sound wise |
|
beyond your true age, your body and emotional maturity need those 4-years to catch up. Way to soon to worry seriously about a guy. After many years and one husband too many, I truly believe boys/men should not be seriously involved or marry until they are 30-years old. It is a big world, and you have many experiences yet to come.
Side note: I lived in Bay St. Louis, MS on coast from 2002 until H.Katrina. Now back in Texas.
