Okay, she's kinda relaxed in the 2nd one, but it's hot here.

3. Looks like a coonhound mix, with lab...
we get quite a few of these dogs dumped on us...we have had three dogs, that looked just like those posted...cute dogs as puppies...the ones we had, were...to be honest, rather stupid.

6. could be...
does this one whine a lot also? All three of the pups we had...whined, beyond belief...had to put a radio in their pen for them, to quit them down...

8. she did the first couple days
now, not so much. However, my first dog - half beagle (or hound) and half collie-lab also did alot of whining.

18. I say rottie or black and tan mixed with
aussie shephard or cattle dog.

If it's rottie and cattle dog, good luck, lol.

20. Hey, Rotties are the best breed.
Edited on Wed Jul-19-06 01:54 PM by RebelOne
They are actually a real laid-back dog. I guess I could classify myself as an expert on Rotties as I have had two. One died of old age and the one I have now is a real sweetie. I am not sure about Aussies, but my daughter has an Aussie/cattle dog mix and her dog is a real handful. Very energetic. So a cross of a Rottie and an Aussie could be a good blend. Very intelligent breeds. But by the photo, this puppy seems to be mostly Rottie.

24. that merle in there is some kind of herding dog
I've handled a lot of rotties and I've found alot of them to be headstrong, and most seem to be on the dominant side. Most Aus. cattle dogs I've met are extremely business oriented so to speak; they concentrate on the task at hand and seem not to be as fulfilled with being just a 'pet' as most other dogs are; they like to have a job.

This dog is probably going to be whip-smart and quite the dominator/dominatrix.

26. My Rotties have not been headstrong because
I have made it clear to them that I am the Alpha dog. Rotties are very intelligent and learn quite quickly.

29. I am not sure that farms have alot of rottweilers
her mom had blue heeler colors but most of the other pups were brown and white. Doesn't seem like rottweiler colors to me. Blue heelers are trouble too, unless you have some work for them to do, or so I have heard and my previous half heeler could not be trusted indoors.

2. Cute!
I love her "eyebrows." My Mom and I are cat people, but we always have a soft spot for "eyebrow" dogs.

15. She is almost identical to Kinsey,
our coonhound.

Ours is a little over a year old.

Kinsey is anything but stupid. Spoiled, yes, but not stupid.

30. after I got my first dog
I said I wanted to find a cosmetic surgeon who would give me a face like that, since she was so popular. I guess that would make me Anubis, but I was thinking of this line from "Creatures of Light and Darkness" as Thoth says to Horus. "And from what strain do you think you derived your powers? Osiris? Cosmetic surgery might have given him a chicken's head, and his own dubious strain an aptitude for mathematics - but you and I, shape shifters both - are sons of Isis, Witch of the Loggia."
I already have the aptitude for mathematics.

19. Puppy! Yay!
Man, I want a dog. Someday I'll have enough time and money to take care of one. Until then, I'll just have to live vicariously through the Lounge Puppies.

She's so frickin' cute!

25. not that expensive (after the initial vet visits)
or time consuming since I have a large fenced backyard. The initial vet visits can be avoided if you adopt a grown dog from a shelter. It does make it almost impossible to rent an apartment though, but I hate renting anyway.

27. I am hoping my larger older dog will entertain her
but so far she does not like her little friend. Before April 13th I had three dogs and expected to have three for a few years. Now I only have two with this recent addition.
