Anyone have any info on 'Crown' acoustics? |
|
Hey everyone. For about a year now, I've been playing my Dad's 30-40 year old Crown acoustic guitar. I looked some online, but couldn't find anything on them. My Dad sad that when he bought it, he was told it was a cheap line made by Martin. I'm curious what happened to them, because this one is getting pretty beat up (Part of the nut it broken, the bridge is cracking, several dings in the body), but I've loved the very deep and rich sounds it gives off (part of that is it uses a .13mm high e). The strings are much harder to press down than other acoustics I've tried, so I'm curious if that's a string issue, or a guitar issue as well. So, anyone know whta happened to them?
Posted this in the Music group, but no one goes there and I'm impatient :P

1. you should have that one repaired. |
|
even if you were to find a newer guitar it wouldn't sound the same.

2. Yea, I haven't gotten around to checking, but it'll prolly set me back |

at least $80 (probably more, if I want to get the body fixed) but a good acoustic would still set me back $150 for a cheap one.
