Anybody see the Pixar movie, "Cars"? |

I took my 3 1/2 year old today-- he first movie theatre experience, and after 1 hr and 15 minutes, she said "I want to leave". So we left.
I think I will hold off on taking her to any movie for quite awhile. I thought this one would be benign (not acary for a wee one), and she liked the still photos she saw of the cars, but the effects and some of the animation were too intense for her.
So.... I got up to the part where the red race car ("Lightning McQueen") takes a drive with the cute Porsche, after spending a night at the "Cozy Cone" Motel. So.... does he ever make it to California to the big race? Can anyone tell me in some detail how it all ended up? Did he get his dopey new friend a helicopter ride?
thanks...

2. Too looooong a movie for a child = yes. |
|
The four-year-old liked it, but was squirming for the last 30 minutes. Way too long a movie for kids at 116 minutes. It felt like 3 hours.

Then you can pause and take a break at anytime and continue later.

One of the scenes under the closing credits showed the two of them getting "hitched".

There were lots of very young kids when I went - way too young IMHO. Lots of talking, crying and running up and down aisles, etc. Most kids under 5 shouldn't be allowed in theaters. (I said most...I'm sure all DUers children know how to behave in theaters)
I thought it was great - loved the music.
