Another stupid computer question

How do I insert pics I wish to share with my fellow DUers..pics that were taken of me and scanned onto my computer? No, they're not naughty, just a little something from my July 4th celebration I'd like to share. Do I have to upload them onto some website in order to have a URL to insert into a post? Right now they're in My Documents on my PC.

3. And once uploaded into your Photobucket account, use the top

line to copy that shows under the photo (there are three choices)...the one that is the URL. Just copy and paste that URL into your DU post and VOILA! You have a photo.

(Hint: Once uploaded, if you click on the picture itself, you get another page that shows how it will look when you post it here. Often the photos uploaded are really big. If yours is, go back to your photos page, and click on the EDIT button above your photo. You get another page where you can reduce to pic so it comes across better. Pic shows best here if it's about 300-400 X 300-5-- pixels. You can see those numbers easily when you either click on the photo or when you go to edit.) :hi:
