He is going into his senior year and he wants to go into pre-med. He is carrying a B plus average, but he is an amazing soccer player so he has been offered several sports scholarships. His mom (my daughter) would like him to stay up there and he is checking out U of M and Notre Dame, but she is ok with him coming to Florida as long as he is close by us. Two universities in Boca and Miami have shown an interest because of his soccer skills, and he is coming down in October to check them out. He is smart and talented and great looking, but I love him the most because he is really funny. Class clown. Gotten him in some crazy s**t over the years, but he just has a great sense of the absurd.

That was a very popular expression many years ago.

Tennessee Ernie Ford used to say that all the time.
He was a great gospel singer in the 50's and 60's and was a great entertainer.
He even had his own tv show, so when I was a kid about 5 years old, we'd watch his show when the television came on.
His was the first show we watched in the morning before we ate breakfast.
It was a talk show, variety show type thing.

In those days, if we got up early, there were no tv shows being broadcast.
They only broadcast that famous tv test pattern you've seen before.

Your mom may be old enough to remember Tennessee Ernie Ford.
My mom used to play his gospel records over and over sometimes.
He had a great voice, very deep and robust.
He was one of the singers I used to try and imitate when I would sing when I was a kid.
I memorized all the words to those songs on 3 different albums.
And he was a very funny guy, and a good actor, too.
He guest starred on a lot of popular television programs.
