Anyone have an HP computer?
Do you have problems changing the homepage on IE 6? I don't normally use IE but I have to use it for a few things. Right now I cannot change the home page from some hp-desktop.aol thing. I change it and it goes right back to that. Spybot does not detect it, neither does Adaware. I know that it is some sort of sypware.

1. Where are you changing it?
At Internet Options? ..and clicking on "Apply"?

2. Yes
And no matter what, it always changes it back. Usually Spybot will detect that sort of thing and remove it but not this time. Yet another reason to hate AOL (and maybe even HP)

6. I figured that but can't get rid of it
There are other annoying HP things. Some sort of pop up ads that just kind of scroll aross the screen at various moments. annoying as hell.

I have even gone into the registry but can't seem to find the right key to delete and I am sort of afraid of messing with it too much.

8. no - never did - she was going to take it back to where
she got it and have them change it

I will check with her to see if she has yet and whether that was successful.
