What is the best way to glue flyers/posters to a wall or kiosk? |
|
I have seen in some cities (like New York) that people glue their flyers for concerts or events, and they stay up for a long time. I am looking to do the same thing. Any ideas how to do this?

1. They use wheatpaste or wallpaper glue. |
|
How to make wheatpaste:
Wheat paste
Prepare 1 cup (2.4 dl) of very hot water. Make a thin mixture of 3 tablespoons (45 ml) of white flour and cold water (just enough to wet all the flour and make it liquid enough to pour). Pour the cold mixture slowly into the hot water while stirring constantly. Bring to a boil. When it thickens, allow to cool. Smear on like any other glue. For slightly better strength, add 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of sugar after the glue is thickened. After using a portion, reheat the remaining in a covered jar or container to sterilize it for storage or keep refrigerated. If wheat flour is not available, other flours will work.
However, it is illegal to do this is some places, so check out the legality first, if you care.

2. Wish I could tell you where to get it (stationers, maybe? office supply?) |
|
but there is some really boffo double-sided tape, comes on a large roll that can be cut easily (roll is about 8-10" wide) and it works really well. Sorry I can't tell you more about where to get it; I work for a printing company, and they use it out on the production floor a lot
