   ... just as she is on so many of my lists, but I knew her "before" -- hell, she BROUGHT me to DU -- so I have to DQ her from the vote...
   There are just too many lovely people in this group to actually make a selection like this, but of the ones I've actually met here, MissHoneychurch and RadFemFL have blessed me with on-going conversations outside of DU.
   Both have been strong RL support for me, as well, through some very trying times over the past six months and have become cherished friends and precious sisters... selecting those two is a "no-brainer"!
   Merely saying "Thank You!" is nowhere near sufficient!
   That they're both accomplished photographers as well gets bonus points from this old shutterbug.
   Now, I have to select a THIRD, you say? All of the DemFem I've met here are loves, but three especially stand out: lionesspriyanka , SeattleGirl, and RevCheesehead, all of whom have stepped out of the Underground Bunker and into my life (through PMs and other) and made themselves (and me) quite comfortably at home!

When I first came to DU, I had a chip on my shoulder toward all Christians. Not knowing that there are loving Christians in this world, I totally cussed this preacher out one night. I kept spitting as many hateful cusswords and accusations at her as I possibly could. I was a wounded animal who needed to vent. I associated this new preacher with the old right wing assholes I was used to in real life. She was patient with me, took my abuse, persisted with loving comments, and against all the odds, she changed my mood and took that anger away. How she did that so easily, I don't know. Where she threw the anger away, I don't know. Why she bothered to keep talking to me, I don't know. I would have told me to go to hell and put me on ignore, but RevCheesehead stuck it out and showed me that some Christians are fucking great people. I wish I knew more like her in real life.

There are times when I feel like I just want to cut up and be mischievous. It's so much more fun to have someone else around who has the same sense of humor. There are times when I see a heated argument in GD turn into a situation where one person just won't give up and go on about their business. They just won't let it go. They'll even go so far as to follow someone to another forum and try to pick it up there. I saw that happen to a great DU'er one night. I began to notice that she had this "badger" on her who just wouldn't let go. It reminded me of that movie where the guy had the badger following him and attacking his boots. He finally had to take the boot off and let the badger have it. This happened to KW one night, where she just couldn't shake the badger stalker. I felt for her and knew she was one of my fellow comedy buddies. I felt as if I bonded with her so much that night. I'll never forget it.

BuffyTheFundieSlayer is a woman after my own heart. She listens to my babble at times when I don't even want to listen to my babble. Plus she has the best smileys. She has come to my aid numerous times, when I have needed some backup desparately. Can't beat that kind of friendship.

ZW & nini 'cuz they drove me around San Diego and later invited me to my first ever California sushi dinner. A special nod goes to ZW for teaching me how NOT to eat Cold Stone ice cream.
