Do you have a Heartbreak Song?

You know, a song that reminds you of someone who shattered your heart, or a sad period in your life? Mine is We've Got Tonight, the song that was playing on the jukebox when I was 19 years old and the miserable rat I was desperately in love with confessed that he was already living with someone else. It was like it was scripted.

Every time I hear it, that whole scene plays out all over again. Except it doesn't hurt anymore, thank goodness!

you are so sweet to ask. Today is a good day. I took myself out shopping for a few lightweight groceries and I'm about to tidy up the kitchen a little bit. I've not taken any pain meds since bedtime last night and I'll take one at bedtime tonight. I adjusted my attitude a bit. :) It's hard feeling helpless, but I was reminded that I'm not 'hopeless'. The only other advice I have is that it's a bad idea to listen to Linda Ronstadt's version of "Long, Long Time" or Tracy Chapman's entire first album when you're feeling heartbroken.
