I'm on my fourth one today. Drank five on Wednesday.

16. I've switched to Diet Rite Zero or Diet RC
Being diabetic, I have to avoid the sugary drinks, but these two brands use Splenda rather than Aspartame. Don't know if this is apropos to your comment, but I am totally against the use of Aspartame (Nutrasweet).

20. I had a Dr. Pepper habit.
I started to cut back a little everyday, it worked.

Just drink one can less, then another can before you know you are off the coke habit.

It is hard, I still have Dr.Pepper monkey but it is under control.

22. Is it the caffeine that you are addicted to?
I substituted coffee for that. Better only in that it's not as many calories and no high fructose corn syrup. If you like the carbonation, try naturally flavored seltzer. It's quite refreshing and bubbly.

23. I think it's a combination of the carbonation and the caffeine.
Plus, the sweetness. I have tried Diet Coke and it just doesn't do it for me.

I do like Club Soda with a lime -- that is a good suggestion.

24. OMG, here too
well, ok, my habit's Pepsi, but it's the same theory.

I successfully switched to Diet Pepsi about a year ago (that took forever, that diet shit is nasty), and it totally cut down on how much soda I drank because, again, that diet stuff just doesn't taste as good.

But then I read about how bad the crap they put in the diet soda is, so I switched back to regular and I'm back to drinking 4-5 cans a day. Damn it.
