Warm, light, dries well, and fur that is very short but incredibly soft. Lovely stuff.

Better than beaver or whatever the fuck animals the Americans have not obliterated yet are.

I'm going to a DU meetup picnic in Central Park (New York City) on Sunday. I'm looking forward to meeting some more DUers and seeing old faces. I'm also organizing a protest against the military's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy. So, I'll be having my second protest arrest coming up in the next couple months.

44. Unfortunately, it works much better in math/science/hypothetical model
style syntax and form than english, so it won't sound like much, but it is basically a preaxiomic infinity, but in the same way that "I don't want to die" means that statistically speaking home prices are not good. As in, it extends a long way from a few words within the fabric of reality in which it is placed.

83. Projection
It's when a person or group attributes their own (often forbidden/distasteful) thoughts/impulses onto another person/group. Therefore freepers claim we are hateful, Rush denounces drug addicts, Republicans who scream about the sexual depravity of Liberals are the ones who get caught in sex scandals, etc.

88. I know what it is, but what I meant was that, when dealing with reaction
formation, for instance, one knows that the reason it works is because it is telling yourself that you do not have those desires, but the question was about the mechanism by which projection resolves conflict between id and superego, not what projection itself is.

I know what it is full well, no worries.

46. Good, doing my favourite holiday pasttime of sleeping in,
(until yesterday at any rate, holidays are over now) and listening to good music. By accursed accident, I went the entire last semester on 5 CD's of music. So on holidays, I added lots. :)

But I must say, sleep is a lovely thing to have when you have the time for it.

Anything special planned?

61. Don't worry, there is a sure-fire way to have everything go good -
turn up in an enourmous elephant suit spraying custard and start singing "we all live on a yellow submarine". Works every time!

If only I had the balls! Instead I'll be wearing a tunic and flaired slacks, staying as far in the corner as possible. ;)

But about Kokos Islands.... one of the best places EVER ~ what say ye?

Oops - edit, typo. How the hell did I get 'say' wrong? Sheesh.

Back to Kokos/Cocos Islands though... it was quite amazing when I was there in the mid 80s..... I hear it's a lot different now, though. Is that so?

Did you get me confused with someone else? I went home for my holidays.... (As in, I flew up to the north of my state)

Just thought that as an Aussie, you might have some current info on Cocos/Kokos islands ~ that's all. But never mind, lovely to see you back at DU.

affairs is known as 'poor' here or 'rather good' in america. ;)

Just consulted the old and full passport, the one that I did not return even though I was officially supposed to turn it in years ago as a result of it being full but geez, no way was I going to give up the original with so many wonderful memories and stories. So, here's page 18 which is one of the best pages ever...half of it being the Cocos Islands stamp (amazing place and wow, the wonderful memories of that trip ~ the other half being a crazy story that illustrates what freaky things can happen in the middle of the night if you find yourself unexpectedly on a train from Milano to Luxembourg.

Don't even get me started on the other 21 of 24 pages. :D

But still... even if you have no idea what I'm talking about, RA, Cocos (Keeling) Islands was truly amazing, although somewhat primitive at the time, and it was a big deal to the Aus gov't that we were flying horses there at the time.....

Edit: it said something about an illegal code above... trying to post the photo again....

Did you hear that Clint takes some time off DU? So there are no Good morning threads at the moment. MAybe you can take over till he comes back. He is so busy at work that he needs a bit more sleep in the next couple of weeks.

I know you are a gerat substitute ... I mean you are an individual and fantastic all yourself ... you get the drift :)

He surprised us all when he told us Wednesday. Look for his Good Morning thread from that day and then you get an explanation.

I still have to make the pie but I am sure it will come out just fine. I wanna make a lime pie.
