Termites in topsoil question. |
|
I have had a bag of topsoil for over a year and today I opened it and poured it out and there were these white bugs that look kinda like termites. I am wondering if I need to get this bagged up and out of here (probably will- topsoil is cheap) but would termites live in a bag of topsoil for a long time??

1. There might have been some kind of wood in the top soil. |

Like mulch or wood chips. If you are going to use the top soil away from the house, like in a flower bed, it would be fine. I just wouldn't use it in a house plant or anything you plan to bring indoors for the winter.
