IT IS FUCKING TOO FUCKING HUMID
Edited on Sat Jul-22-06 04:48 PM by HEyHEY
I can take the heat...but this time last year I was living in the desert and all was well. Now, back in Vancouver it's too friggin humid for me. I feel like I just got out of the shower and it won't go away.
Fuck this, I'm going to the mall to hang out in the AC.

1. tell me about it
This heatwave is seriously getting on my nerves. Heck, even the sage on the balcony died - normally that plant is pretty much indestructible (plus great in pasta).

2. It rained this evening here
for quite some time. My window is wide open and fresh COOL air is coming in. Bliss, I tell ya, bliss.

3. Little rain starting here too,
and I hope it'll be more soon.

This heat wave is ridiculous. We hit 36° today ...

8. We have two fans running.
But you know, here and A/C, that's just not gonna work.

I actually did stand in the rain for a little while. :)

4. No rain here
Just heat and surprisingly humid air. And mosquitoes. My CSD supporter today was impossible to enjoy, I even waived my option to go on the SPD/Jusos/Schwusos float and the subway has become an instrument of torture.

10. Schwusos?
I'm not familiar with them ... I was leading a Juso group once (now I'm too old for it), but what are Schwusos?

12. Well - the "Gay Socialists"
They are what they sound like. The GLBT "Arbeitskreis" in the SPD.
In my district they are the second biggest subgroup, after the "Young Socialists" (Jusos).
The "Kreise" ending in *usos are cooperating - the two are the most open groups in the party - , so the Schwusos rely on wo/manpower from the Jusos for events and we use their rooms and their know-how as well; there are many members active in both groups.
We also organize most parties together.

I'm way too old for the Jusos now, but I sure enjoyed my time with them in the 80's, and being a member of the SP national educational board here - although as a member of the IV. Internationale. Good times, good times.

It has changed, though ...

15. Still good times and a lot of fun
:D
At least in Berlin; a tad more dire in the other 15, more backwards states.

This is NOT that humid. I grant you that it's uncomfortable, but we're pretty lucky when it comes to humidity.
