What's the best way to get rid of under-eye circles and puffiness?
Other than stopping drinking and getting more sleep. (Actually, I have a condition that causes it, and I am sick of looking all puffy all the time!!!)

1. Nourishing your liver and kidney through diet.
Not eating fatty foods.
Not drinking soda or coffee.

Try drinking roasted barley tea, chickory/dandelion tea.
Eat sea vegetables and miso soup and mushrooms.

2. No, but really...
no matter what my lifestyle is, I have these puffy circles. What can I do to treat this symptom, like cucumbers and all that?

I will try the tea, though, thanks!

4. Amazon has a source for roasted barley tea. It's a GREAT robust tea
that is dark with lots of flavor.

6. Then when you're done with the tea, place the tea bags on your eyes
It's works pretty good actually. Although for the most part I use All About Eyes by Clinique, it's awesome stuff. :hi:

9. Lots of pillows
Sleeping with your head slightly elevated minimizes fluid retention. That will help reduce the puffiness.

A cold gel mask over the eyes when you wake up will help too. I wear one while I'm getting dressed & doing my hair. Especially this time of year, it feels wonderful.

10. have you discussed it w. your doctor?
i will presume the condition in question is allergic shiners, if your allergies are properly treated, then sometimes they go away, unfortunately, my allergies were not treated in time because my parents did not believe in allergies and by the time i was able to get treatment on my own the condition was permanent

i will save you $95 right now and tell you that the famous new undereye cream touted in all the fashion mags -- it don't work either

12. Tea bags are very good for the puffiness
As for the dark circles...there are some creams and other skin nourishers that work well, and there's a laser technique that gets rid of them, but if all else fails, brute force and ignorance (better known as concealer) will deal with the problem in short order. Everyone--yes, you guys too--should keep a concealer stick and know how to wear it for those times all else has failed.

...jay kay. I don't know really. I guess some aveda thing my mom uses...but since i don't have the under eye circle issue, i'm pretty ignorant to this question...sorry...

14. There is a product called LIFT
put out by Benefit specifically for the problem. Benefit is one of the makeup lines/counters in Macys and other large department stores.

16. To clarify
my circles/puffiness are caused by chronic, year-round allergies and Hashimoto's disease, a form of hypothyroidism. I thought they might lessen when I started my daily medicine for the previously-undiagnosed thyroid problem, but no luck!

Do you warm the teabags and put them on or put them on cold or what?

17. Proper hydration, cold compresses,
anti-inflammatories such as aspirin and a low salt diet. Conditions notwithstanding, the puffiness is going to be much less pronounced if you take these measures. Dark circles are another matter. For that, invest in a really good concealer.

:hi:
