"Malcolm X" on Bravo
Spike Lee's finest film, and one of Denzel Washington's greatest performances.

If you haven't read the book, do so. At the very least, see this film if you haven't.

2. It is a great movie. Unfortunately it's sullied by commercials.
I learned a lot from that movie. I gained a new appreciation for Malcolm X.

5. True
DVD is the way to go... but it's good to catch it whenever. Saw it in the theater when it came out, and was totally absorbed.

Edited to say "As if that actually means anything..."

9. I certainly rank that high
I could put that alongside it. I remember how powerful "Do The Right Thing" was when it came out - it got people talking about racism, no matter what they thought of the film. It was bold, original, and a punch in the gut.

11. THANK YOU!
Here's a white girl who LOVES this movie. Haven't seen it in about six or seven years, at least. Love it, love Denzel.
