3. Staying inside is a good idea....esp. if one has air conditioning.
which we, unfortunately, don't have. We open all the windows at night and close 'em up in the morning and the house stays pretty cool most of the day.

Yup, it was a scorcher today. Very unusual to have temps that high in this area. Right now it's a brisk 75 degrees at 10:10pm....

:hi:

9. This is what we do too...
...I've always thought someone could make a fortune devising a timer for the windows and blinds that did what I basically do every night and morning. :hi:

12. All it takes is one good idea, buddy, to pull it off!
that and a lot of start up money. There's always that. :D

Yeah, around 5pm it gets as hot inside as it is outside and we open the house up.

:hi: Robb! Good to see ya...

2. It is always hot in Houston, I do try to stay inside when possible.
If I have to go out I wear my straw hat and drink lots of fluids.

I never drank so much water and sports drink in my life.

Yeah, heat like that brings a whole new meaning to the words: "Hydrate, or die!"

10. Hell, I wouldn't have done anything either, esp if I had a handy dandy
air conditioner! :D Unfortunately, we don't have one.

8. Better, now that the high here was below 90F for the first time in 2 weeks
...it rained, which helped consideraby; possibility of more rain through the middle of next week, and it's not supposed to be much over 85 in the day and down into the 60's at night over the next few days.

I'll be really happy when autumn finally gets here, although at this latitude it doesn't really cool off much until October.

13. I could use some rain about now.
even though I was bitching about the endless rain in the winter time. There's always something to complain about, right? heheheh.

Yeah, I love autumn time, too. :hi:

14. My dear Shine!
Whew! You must have broken some records for sure....

Luckily, we do have central a/c........

And we've had it on, cycling, for the last whole two days and nights!

Good thing, too.....'cause our neighbors are having a fairly loud and outdoor party!

The nights just have not cooled down hardly at all.........

That's how we're coping! :pals:

15. A friend of mine in LA...
Had to carry DJ equipment up three flights of stairs in the heat. Poor bastard. I mocked him via AIM.
