iTunes users: click on "Top 25 Most Played." What is your #1 song?
On mine, it is "I'm Gettin' Sentimental Over You," which I play frequently for my Mom to hear. In fact all of the top 25 on mine are Big Band music, for the same reason. But at other times the #1 has been "Ameno" by Era, "A Little Less Conversation" by Elvis, "Hey Joe" by Jimi and "Rain, Rain Go Away" by Vince Guaraldi.

What is the #1 song on your "Top 25 Most Played?"

5. I'm gonna use my last.fm statistics instead, since it'd be more accurate..
Because I listen to most of my music in Winamp.

#1 is Protest the Hero – "Turn Soonest to the Sea" with 93 plays.

13. I hear that Sparklehorse has a new album coming out. The first in
like 5, 6 years. Is that a new song from it? What's it about, lyric-wise?

24. Good news! I've been waiting for new stuff from them.
"Heart of Darkness" is off their first album. Lyrics:

she laid her head
on my chest
as the sun burned
down the west
there's one thing we still got
this one last dance in this parking lot

oh yeah, I, I got a heart of darkness
oh yeah, I, I got a heart of darkness

then she woke up
into the fire
and the flames kept
dancing higher
satan would laugh at her screams
then she woke up from her dreams

oh yeah, I, I got a heart of darkness
oh yeah, I, I got a heart of darkness

12. Not really accurate, but...
I just transferred machines so everything is new. But currently, Forever (the Eternity mix) by Bruderschaft is at #1 with a whole 3 plays.

(Not that it's a bad piece of work - it's incredible. It is the combined talents of Apoptygma Berzerk, Bruderschaft, Covenant, Icon Of Coil & VNV Nation. They released the CD as a benefit for cancer research after one of the DJs, Rexx Arkana, in their circle lost his father to cancer. But I'm a little surprised that I've played it that much, with 19 GB to choose from.)

17. Over The Rainbow by Eric Clapton
Edited on Mon Jul-24-06 12:16 AM by intheflow
I saw him play it as an encore about six years ago in Albany, NY. It was by far and away my favorite song of the night (even though I'm a big Clapton fan as it is) and the best rendition I've ever heard of OTR.
