The Open golf tournament? |

I heard that there was a protest at the Open golf tournament this sunday, but i haven't heard what the protester's were protesting. Does anyone know what it was about? was it political are perhaps someone was PO'ed at hight ticket prices?

splotches, I think it was on the putting green on 18. I don't think there were any signs or anything to indicate whatever their cause was, so they could have been just vandals and not protesting anything in particular.

They did this once at Tony Blair during Prime Ministers Questions.
The group was founded to raise the profile of fathers who are continually refused access to their children following divorce (to my mind a laudable aim), but they rapidly went in for more extreme stunts usually dressed as cartoon super-heroes. They have scaled both Buckingham Palace and 'Big Ben'.
There were allegations of a plot to kidnap the Prime Minister's youngest son, Leo, (it sounds more like a couple of guys having a skin-full then letting their ideas run away with themselves) after which the formal organisation was wound-up, but obviously there are still many out there who are ready, willing, and able to take such actions.
