Buying a new laptop! What do we think about MacBook Pro?

I haven't bought a new computer in about 6 years and I haven't really been keeping up on new developments. I really can't bring myself to buy a PC (I love, love, love OS X and I've never had a single problem with my iBook in 6 years while my PC buying relatives seem to have a total meltdown every three months.)

Anyone out there have a MacBook or MacBook Pro? Do you really need to spent the extra $1000 on the MacBook Pro to play games (like Civ 4 and Sims 2) at a reasonable speed? Is Apple planning a new major launch that will make MacBook obsolete soon? Should I wait until Leopard is released so I can use Boot Camp? Is the price likely to plummit as soon as I buy one?

Any advice about 1.) should I buy MacBook or MacBook Pro and 2.) should I wait for Leopard or for the next model?
