1. Kewl - Miss USA did wear the Project Runway dress

It looks great on her!!

Here's Kayne's original dress (he worked with Robert since it was a team event)

And we saw that Miss USA had on "Kayne" (sp?) design. Well not the actual dress (they worded it as such) but his definite design. He doesn't even have to win now he is set for life-he designed a Miss Universe finalist's gown.

It did look very good.

I would assume that the dresses from PR were stitched together pretty haphazardly since they have such a limited time PLUS the dress was designed to fit the model not Miss USA's measurements.

That's why Kara got screwed. Did you know that she also showed her collection at Fashion Week, as the "decoy"? And that her line was the best received by the industry? She has more work than she can handle.

She really grew on me during the challenge -- she seemed like a basically decent person, and her original stuff was very good -- it was when she tried to do "commercial" that she tanked.

I think it'll be Kayne, Jeffrey, and either Uli or Robert....

Because I can't stand Kara Sung from season #1. She was so rude and derogatory towards Wendy and yet she couldn't comprehend why her shoes weren't a problem for her final collection. I wish they had booted her from the final show for that screw-up

I flipped over with about 30 mintues left and happened to see Miss PR answering a question. She was spooky thin and her eyes didn't seem to be in business together. Very striking looking but more in a "something is askew here" way. She may very well have been underhydrated-happens all the time at bodybuilding shows or so I am told (they carry as little water as possible in the body).

how? I think she is beautiful, but there is something amiss...and collapsing in hot bright lights....based on those pictures, she is bone thin, no real muscle tone, it's a logical progression to think she has an eating disorder.
Compare her picture/body to that of Miss Brazil and the difference is striking.

22. I actually gasped when Switzerland walked on stage in her swimsuit

She has a knock-out face, but she was so thin she looked like a holocaust victim. You could see all her ribs and her little hipbones were poking out. It was scary looking. I wanted to stuff a cheeseburger in her mouth. One of the other top ten was that skinny too.

And I don't know how the rest of them get boobs that big when they only weigh 95 lbs at 5'8". It's got to be plastic surgery in some cases.

the culture of our media with respect to women's health is really outrageous, and has been so for decades.

The standard of what is and is not beautiful needs to change.

I'm not a fan of beauty contests, but when a contestant like Miss Japan answers the dreaded "Question of the Pageant" in THREE languages, that has to blow away some preconceived notions that all these women are fluff bunnies.

I loved her national costume. I thought her answers to the questions were much more sophisticated than the other girls' answers. And she looked like she might actually be a woman for whom thinness is a natural attribute rather than a product of extreme dieting. Puerto Rico reminded me of nothing so much as a porn star. She had on too much makeup, her boobs looked "touched up", and she just seemed kind of trashy in some undefinable way.
