I have a problem with STEVIA & it's DU-Lounge's fault
O.K., so, I pay attention to what DUers suggest/advise/counsel. And I was told here that the sweeteners are ALL bad except for STEVIA.

So, I went to the MORE EXPENSIVE natural foods places, and sure enough, the STEVIA stuff cost, like, TWELVE DOLLARS for some powder shit.

Fine. Then in the local grocery type conglomerate, there was some box of SweetLeaf crap that was in little packets and cost EIGHT DOLLARS. Fine.

So then I used up all the powder stuff and proceeded to the packet stuff.

AND these Zeus-damned packets are like SOLID, INSOLUBLE, WAFER, CRAP. It will NOT DISSOLVE!!!!!!!!!!!1

Now. Of course, CORRECT ME as I know you will.

1. I don't see how your poor choice of buying inferior shit
is the fault of DU.

7. Well, DU didn't tell me to buy "inferior shit" but
somebody here counseled me to stop ingesting diet-soda and ALL ASPERTAME/crap and that the ONLY sweetener that is safe is STEVIA.

I'm not carping seriously, am just LOUNGING, O.K.?????????/

2. Take the packets back to the store
It's too old and/or was stored in an incorrect environment (probably too humid).

I'm still a huge Stevia proponent, proudly standing by my original endorsement. I use Stevia packets--even keep them in my glove compartment to use when I get coffee on the road--and haven't had that problem.

I hear you about the price--but I think it's worth it to avoid the Rumsfeld-created cousin-to-agent-orange chemical crap.

4. Well, I'm trying. Any suggestions for DISSOLVING?
and to Poster #1, I am not blaming DU, but I FOLLOW what DUers suggest.

9. There's advice on the box, believe it or not
It says that because Stevia is so high in fiber, it might not dissolve well if you just dump it into your beverage--that way, it forms small clumps. The advice on the box is to shake it in gently while you stir with your spoon. I like to get a little whirlpool going and then start shaking the Stevia packet so a steady sifting of the stuff goes into the center of the whirlpool.

...Is that too much information?

Hang in there, UTUSN--trust me, it's worth it. Like Fudge Stripe says--much MUCH better than the alternative. (I also believe that it can cause MS--and other fun nerve-damage-type diseases.)

:hi:
