2. you know that study that supposedly proved fiber is good?
it was disproved some time ago

the tribe in africa that didn't have cancer "because of a high fiber diet" has now been urbanized and still don't have cancer

they were protected from cancer by their genetics

eating sawdust doesn't do anything for people altho it might fatten up a cow OK

we don't have to worry about fiber anymore!

5. Mayo clinic says different
Dietary fiber — found mainly in fruits, vegetables, whole grains and legumes — is probably best known for its ability to prevent or relieve constipation. But fiber can provide other health benefits as well, such as lowering your risk of diabetes and heart disease.

A high-fiber diet may lower your risk of specific disorders, such as hemorrhoids, irritable bowel syndrome and the development of small pouches in your colon (diverticular disease). Fiber — particularly soluble fiber — can also lower blood cholesterol levels and slow the absorption of sugar, which for people with diabetes, can help improve blood sugar levels. A high-fiber diet may also reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes.

Eating a high-fiber diet may also help with weight loss. High-fiber foods generally require more chewing time, which gives your body time to register when you're no longer hungry, so you're less likely to overeat. Also, a high-fiber diet tends to make a meal feel larger and linger longer, so you stay full for a greater amount of time. And high-fiber diets tend to be less "energy dense," which means they have fewer calories for the same volume of food.

6. All Bran Bran Buds
The texture is crunchier than the other bran cereals and with some sugar or other sweetner it's quite good. It's also one of the highest fiber cereals on the market.

37. Autumn Wheat...
from Trader Joe's.

It is very lightly sweetened mini-shredded wheats with a tiny touch of cinnamon. They are tasty enough that I eat them as a snack with no milk.

And they are VERY good for the poopage.

In fact, so good you have to go a little easy on them -- too much and it can get unattractive.

39. I eat Shredded Wheat pretty much every day.
It doesn't have any added ingredients, just whole wheat. If you add milk and fruit (which adds even more fiber), it has a wonderful natural sweetness. I prefer the Original to the Bite Size---I think the texture is better.

41. If you will do hot cereal, 7 or 10 grain is good
They have a lot of fiber and you can perk them up with salt, honey, sugar or whatever makes the taste more to your liking.

I also agree with the frosted mini wheats recommendation.

If you find you just hate higher fiber cereals, can you add fiber in another way, but eating your cereal with fruit or having whole grain toast with it?
