Would it? I'll end up making two payments in August, but I'm just curious whether I should be more worried.

1. Don't worry about it if you are financed through a bank
or the auto credit company. My loan is through Ford Credit and I've missed payments before and just made them up the next month.

3. HSBC is a bank isn't it LOL?
:dunce:

Who would you have the loan with, if it wasn't a bank or auto credit company?

Thanks for the reply!

6. A lot of the smaller independent car dealers
finance their own sales. Them I would worry about.

7. If its a credit union, it just might
I was out with a staph infection for six weeks and they knocked at the door. I called and explained the situation and they waived the payment and added it to the end of my loan. It did teach me to talk to my lenders when I needed a little time. I was 40 days late.

9. It's always a safe bet to contact your financial institute

and let them know why you are late and that you plan to pay double the following month.

Edit note: If banks repo'd after one missed payments there would be alot more of us walking and taking public transportation.

But missing a payment will show up in your credit report but perhaps if you call them they make make an exception for you
