Elizabeth Hurley to star in Jordache ads

NEW YORK - Elizabeth Hurley stars in new print ads for Jordache, the company that became famous during the 1970s designer-label jeans craze.


The ads, shot by Michael Thompson, show the 41-year-old model-actress wearing the Jordache Vintage line, sold in high-end retail stores, and the new Jordache Legacy line, launching exclusively at Macy's stores across the country this fall.

Jordache said the first ad will run in national publications beginning in September and will continue through the holiday season.

In one ad, Hurley is shown with the signature Jordache horse. Another shows her with riding gear.

4. Argh! Are designer jeans coming back?

I HATED those things. The ultimate "must have" from when I was in sixth to eighth grade. I never had a pair, because my parents correctly viewed them as expensive fribbles. I always got traditional Levi's jeans. Wonder of wonders, when I got to high school, Levi's were ultimate cool!

I was never ultimate cool, but at least in high school, it wasn't 'cause of my jeans! :7

5. I have very... "fond" memories

I have very... "fond" memories of my female schoolmates wearing Vanderbilt jeans and pink, fuzzy sweaters (circa 1980) in the wfall & winter and leotards and leggings during the spring just before the whole nutty grunge/goth crap started and ruined everything... lol

period. Elizabeth, a girl in my music class, in designer jeans and an angora sweater. S-s-s-s-s-mokin' hot! Still, the female buttocks look just as good clad in Levis as they did in Jordache. ;-)
