6. Waterpipes and Bongs are two different things.

Although they both utilize the same high/low pressure principle
to cool smoke by passing it through water, the engineering
approaches utilized place them into easily distinguishable
classes.

Anyone who could confuse one for the other has probably
been using one or the other fairly recently.
I heartily encourage them to share with their old buddy Dick.

And that's a very different sort of differentiation indeed.

Usage defines definition when speaking of "crack pipes";
it's a discussion best left to 'Philosophy Majors', because
just about everyone else on the planet can think of
better ways to spend their free time.

Just for the record:
If I ever decide to smoke some crack,
I will smoke it in the fashion that G*D intended:
through a 5" section of chrome-plated BMW antenna tubing
with a balled-up paperclip as a screen.
