Poll question: A new poll. Ever passed a pre-employment drug screen?
When you probably shouldn't have? In a hypothetical scenario (of course), what if you like to have an occassional marijuana attitude adjustment and found yourself facing a pre-employment drug screen? What would you do? Hypothetically speaking - of course.

1. Assuming it's a urine test; drink massive amounts of water
if it's hair, then your just screwed

2. Hmmm....I'm not sure massive amounts of water would
do the trick for my "friend."

3. If it's a urine test, Herbal Clean makes good products.
I know people who had good results with them.

8. I work my 42.5 hours a week.
I sit in a cubicle. They have no right to my bodily fluids. I once declined an interview because they wanted a drug test and credit check BEFORE the wanted to interview me. For a position with no connection with money, people, or accounts.

There need to be boundaries. I do not use more than twice a year usually, but they have no right to know that.

10. I agree, but options are limited if you refuse one.
It seems like most companies test these days.

12. Hey, I work in a creative field
:P

If they tested, then they would have a very difficult time actually hiring employees.

6. Had to take one; passed without "help."
And I wouldn't want anybody in my industry (aviation) passing a drug test that they shouldn't have passed.

9. There are few careers where people should be clean.
Pilots are one such group, although I don't think occassional marijuana use for pilots who are not flying for at least 24 hours is that big of a deal.

Being a salesperson isn't one of those careers where it matters what happens after hours as long as you show up and perform.

I work in the marketing department of a production company. I just got the job. Monday mornings you get a contact high off of the creative team.

I hope it works out for your friend. Our bodies should be our own.

20. Hear hear!
It really pisses me and my friend off that they do this screening. How do we know they aren't testing for other things? Maybe there is something that could detect longterm disability or disease? Do they then have a right not to hire you so they can avoid the insurance and medical expenses down the road?

14. Borrow some "clean" urine and substitute if youare worried.
First, take a couple of home tests and see if you really test positive.

If not, no worries.

If so, then you can borrow some clean urine and use those hand warmers to keep it at the proper temp.

Drinking lots of water is risky because many pre-employment tests check the urine for specific gravity and you will get a "negative dilute" which will likely be rejected as suitable sample.

17. That is really gross.
But I'm sure it's a good option. I'm also sure that a test would not be needed at this time to find out if my friend tested positive. I'm pretty sure she would pee straight THC.

27. Of course, for a urine test, they're really just testing for pot.
Harder drugs are flushed out of your system in a couple days. Pot can stay there for a month.

26. Your local head shop will have something for you.
Abstain for at least 48 hours prior to test and drink gallons of water throughout. Then take the herbal flush product as per manufaturer's instructions.
I passed three screens this past year. And I do my 420 every day.
