Is there such a thing as projectile shedding?
That's what my husband says happened to him this morning after he passed the white dog wearing black pants.

2. Well, my mother in law's cat hates ( I mean HATES) riding in the car.
When she moved to a new condo, my husband put the cat in his truck for the drive over. The minute he started the truck up *poof* white fur began flying. So, I would say yes. If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I wouldn't have believed it. We could barely breathe and it tooks months to get rid of all the hair. :hi:

3. We have had two dogs that did that.
One, Kara, projectile-shedded from fear when we had to take her to the vet. Our dog Vicki does that in the car when she's excited about barking at something.

4. My Siberian Husky
projectile sheds his white coat. If he can, any dog can.

6. Yes! I had a white German Shepard whose hair waited for me
around corners and then attacked when I walked by. I actually saw white hair rise like the dead from my carpet and attached themselves to my pants like freaking magnets.

7. i know from experience that cats do this.
i didn't know dogs did too.

the first time i saw it i had taken my kitty to the vet and they were short handed so he asked me to hold her on the table while he examined her. all of a sudden masses of hair were just flying off her. i ran my hand down her back and had a handfull of hair.

i looked it up later and found out it is a defense mechanism so that the cat can get away and the predator will just get a mouthfull of fur.

8. I would almost swear that my dog does that. She has long white
fur with a thick undercoat that sheds as individual hairs, not clumps, and when she shakes it looks like a snowstorm. The hair piles up on the porch in drifts and is attracted to anything dark in color. I have to keep a sticky lint roller handy if I don't want to wear half of her to work.

9. Is it true that God created the world because
He had to do something with all the hair the cats and dogs were shedding?
