No direct deposit either. I still go to the bank teller - 1890s style!

2. My mother doesn't.
She hates them. She goes to her bank and cashes a check if she needs money. She pays cash or writes checks for everything.

9. I tend to eat lunch during lunch hour.
And I often find other things to do on Saturday morning.

6. Probably.

I resisted until I started having trouble writing legibly. Now my debit card, direct deposit, and online bill paying are really easy. Besides, going to the bank is so inconvenient ... especially since our bank is a credit union in FL and we're in TN now. :hi:

8. Yes, I think you are.
Between ATM's, debit cards, direct deposit and online bill paying, there's really no reason to deal with tellers anymore.

10. Because I was a teller and saw what can happen, I always use
a teller, and I write checks... which apparently pisses people off. Who knew? :hi:

11. I take a small herd of goats to the grocery store for use in barter
And my new abacus really speeds up the transaction.

Come on! How wilt thou transact business if thou hast not the mark of the beast upon thy right hand?

12. Nope
I'm the same as you. I've just never gotten around to getting a debit card. I've never minded going to the bank, and I've always thought writing checks was fun.

14. what is a cash station?
Is that another word for ATM?

I do not own a debit card. I use credit cards and get cash back and 0% loans, etc. Direct deposit rocks though. It is much better than making an extra trip to pick up a paycheck or having to wait until Monday to deposit it and needing an extra trip to the credit union for that. Although I often goto the credit union on payday to transfer money from savings to checking.

19. HAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've had to go to the bank twice in the past year, both times because someone had written me a personal check :wtf:, and both times I had the same experience as you. They seem to really enjoy their social hour at the bank there. Now, I don't mind waiting, but I don't have to go there normally, so I didn't figure it in...

My sister says no way does she trust cash machines. Yet she does all the rest of her banking online. Go figure.
