"You Keep Me Hanging On"- Vanilla Fudge
Hey, I admit it; The Fudge have always been one of my favorite bands. I'm of the 6 people out there who thinks the "The Beat Goes On" album is a masterpiece...

Whatever you can say about them, they were heavy, baby. And them playing live of Ed Sullivan proved it, too. Other than Mark Stein thinking that he's Isadora Duncan, and me coming to the startling realization that Mike Mills stiole Tim Bogart's 1968 look down to the glasses, this is an awesome clip:

2. An old band I played Hammond in
used to do this tune...I love playing the organ part on it, it's a blast! "Soul Sacrifice" by Santana was another one I always loved playing.

4. I was watching this last night.
Can't believe they broke up only 2-3 years after this performance. Powerful stuff. Bogert is a huge influence on rock bass.

5. Great music, but the studio audience wouldn't have seen the swirly bits in
the background.

It's chromakey'd in (blue screen). The effect is visible around the edges of the people and instruments.

Oh, it looks way-cool, but this is a time where being at home pays off. :)
