Hey Denverites, check this out.....
Her face is broken in seven places. Her skull has been fractured. She has a severe concussion. Her husband Adam's concussion was just as serious. He said, "It was just such a horrible experience."

They aren't sharing their last name because the group of men that brutally attacked them in the North Denver Highlands neighborhood hasn't been caught. Rachel and Adam won't feel safe until they are.

Adam, his wife Rachel, and his sister were walking near 32nd and Lowell late on the night of July 7th when a car pulled up next to them. They say a group of men jumped out and started beating up Adam. Adam yelled to his wife and sister to run. The two women took off down an alley. Some of the men chased them down and beat them too.

Rachel said, "I was left unconscious, face down in a puddle in an alley. Both of us like left for dead in the alley. That really says it all."

1. I lived near there
when we lived in Denver. It would have been nice if they gave a description of them or their car in the article. That is darn creepy.

2. I have many friends in that neighborhood
and have walked there myself at all hours

sounds like some sort of gang initiation, a random peer-pressure thing, or a hate crime.

3. We lived there for eight years and we still consider that our
neighborhood. One of the safest, friendliest places in all of the Denver Metro area.

4. well, one of the friendliest, next to East Colfax in Aurora
now THAT'S "friendly"!

I love Highland. I almost bought there last year, but opted for Belmar, which is closer to my kids.
