OK now I'm watching some lame flick on cable about people in underwater
caves being munched by some kind of creature(s). It looks like a total rip off of "Alien". I think the Korean dude from "Lost" is in it.

I seem to remember when this had its theatre release, but I don't remember the name of the movie.

There are some cool cave diving scenes though.

It will soon be time to get up and change the channel!

1. "The Princess Bride" is on WE.
I'm sure it's better.

2. When I'm stuck at work I have to catch up on my quota of lame TV.
I LOVE Princess Bride but have the DVD and just watched it recently.

Ah what the hey, that's a good choice, thanks for letting me know!

3. I thought that last word was "underwear."

4. No, I'd still be watching if that were the case.

7. And I'd be turning the channel.
Although I am enjoying this rerun of Monk. :hi:

5. Don't worry. That's what I read it as initially.
Then again, my mind is permanently in the gutter. I blame Catholic school.

6. At least you have an excuse.
I just have a mind perpetually in the gutter.

8. Catholic school also made me "right-handed."
I still can't brush my teeth right-handed though. It's bizarre, but if I try, it's like I'm developmentally challenged or something.

9. Were you a victim of Nunzilla?

10. Yeah, I have a fear of nuns to this day.
Priests are fine. I know some really cool priests. Nuns freak me the fuck out.

Ugh...Sister Robert's with her ruler making me right-handed when I was five. Probably led to some of the speech problems I had as a kid, too. My mom actually told me recently that she had accused me of cheating on a standardized test because I didn't make any mistakes. Of course, my mom's rebuke was, "if she cheated, then who else scored that high? And if a five year old can cheat that well, then it still means she's smart." Apparently, no one else scored as high though. I also spent a lot of time getting in trouble for mouthing off to nuns and playing with the boys (segregated recess).

It was such a relief when we moved to a better neighborhood and I was put into public school.

11. Damn... I've heard horror stories like that.
In Green Bay, two of the four hospitals are mostly run by nuns... or, I should say, they're in charge of the reception area and volunteers. I learned the hard way that they have NO sense of humor. Pity, because I also have known some really fantastic nuns as well.

12. My sister went to a different Catholic elementary school
and she loved it. It was way more liberal than the one I went to. She ended up going to public HS though. My parents had just switched her to Catholic school because they wanted to classify her as special ed and she wasn't.
