Just got back from the St Louis premier of

"Can Mr Smith Get to Washington Anymore?" the documentary about Jeff Smith's primary campaign for the 3rd Congressional District in Missouri. This was the seat previously occupied by Dick Gephardt and now occupied by Russ Carnahan (thanks to his family name). What an awesome movie!!! It reminded me much of the War Room (the documentary about Bill Clinton's 1992 presidential campaign). Jeff Smith is a political science professor who came within shooting distance of upsetting the Carnahan dynasty. He came within just a couple thousand votes of winning the primary.

The documentary is scheduled to show in Washington DC on Sept 22 or 23. Look for it...

1. It was nice meeting you last night.....

I am just getting going today, what a long night.... The reaction has been great. Everyone wants to work for Jeff or donate money now. People have been calling me all morning confessing to the fact that they have not been involved in politics in years. They all ask what can they do to help.

Please tell everyone to get out and see the movie at the Tivoli this weekend. We need to do well in St. Louis to help push it out to other markets.
