Need suggestions for inexpensive but high quality towels |
|
Looking for fluffy white bath towels. I'm thinking hotel-quality. We have a bunch of ugly, threadbare, mis-matched towels, and it's time for new.
Anyone know of a cheap source, ala Hampton Store where we buy candles in bulk for amazingly good prices not available anywhere else (my SO used to pay .94 for votives at the supermarket - I now pay about .14 each in bulk, and he goes through a LOT of them - its a pyromania thing with guys, I think)

They always have good sales going on, and the towels are big and fluffy.

stuff is usually 50% off on sale and Kohls stuff last, also If you have a credit card there at least once a month they give you an extra 20% off anything in the store. Which if you bought an $10 towel you'd end up getting it for like $3 after the 70% discount.

3. I replaced some of mine with Kohl's towels |
|
and they are pretty good. They are often on sale too. JCPenney also makes decent towels. Those are some of the ones I replaced and they lasted me a very long time. Of course I got them years ago so don't know if the quality is the same. I would check department store private labels like Penney's, Sears, Kohl's, etc. You can usually get decent ones without spending a fortune.

When I was a little kid I had an aunt who was single at the time and lived with us. She and her friends would travel a lot. I remember wondering where in the world they sold towels that said "Hilton" or "Sheraton" on them.
Of course, unless you plan to stay at a hotel anyway, getting good towels that way can be expensive.

I used to work at both Hilton and Sheraton - Sheraton had the better towels IMHO, but it varies by location and market. Sheraton had a logo of wreath with an S in the middle, so if your name starts with S you're all set.

13. Wow! They look really nice! |
|
I have Laura Ashley sheets so old that the pattern is all bleached out, but the hems and finishing still holds us.

14. These are so freaking soft, it's amazing. |
|
They are far and away softer than any towels I've ever had. It's the "microcotton", whatever the hell that is. :D

15. Try to find a hotel supply. |

Price can be very cheap depending on the amount you buy.
