Have reappeared...wasted another good Liriano outing!!

Proves the Tigers are just a bit better team...

Twins should have made a deal for Carlos Lee...

1. I couldn't watch the bottom of the 9th

Looks like we brought in Rodney in the 9th and Todd Jones for the 10th and they both blanked the Twins. I thought for sure Jones was gonna come in and blow it, and I already spent way too much time watching the game and not studying for my final Tuesday. It was a really good game.

Miner really bounced back. I didn't have alot of faith in him. Proved me wrong. I was glad when the Twins pulled Liriano. The Twins should've left him in there at least for another inning. We weren't hitting him at all. At least make us knock him out of there with a hit.

Now no matter what the Twins will still be at least 7 1/2 back at the end of this series and possibly 10 1/2 back. That's a huuge win for the Tigers against Liriano.

Thw Twins are a scary team. And Hunter and Stewart aren't even playing. I don't want to play them in the playoffs. If the Tigers and Twins both make the playoffs, they would meet in the divisional playoff. 5 game series with Santana and Liriano on a 3 man rotation? Having to play on the road at the Metrodome? I don't want any part of that. That wasn't fun in 1987.

2. Well I have to say...
In my gut I think the Twins have hit the high mark and probably won't make the playoffs...I don't know who I hate worse the White Sox or the Yankees so if the Twins don't get in I hope whicever one of them gets in gets their ass kicked!!!

Terry Ryan is a great GM, but he needs to pull the trigger once in a while and get a big bat in here. Saving prospects is all well and good, but the Twins never get over that last hump to make it all the way. I suspect the same will happen this year.
