He is SO happy to be home, he's just purring and purring and purring.

Thanks to all who sent their good vibes and well wishes

3. ET Awful!
Did the doctor change Quinn's diet at all? I ask this because Ginger had a similar problem a year ago, and was (thank goodness!) able to pass the crystals that eventually could have formed a larger blockage, requiring the catheter procedure Quinn had.

So glad your boy is home and on the road to recovery.

8. Actually, they said not to worry about changing his diet for now.
Just to make sure he gets canned food only (which is usually what he eats).

12. what about the kind of canned food?
I've been told that seafood has a very high ash content and can cause kidney problems in cats susceptible to cistitis. My last cat couldn't have any fish at all because of it. We stuck to chicken.

Glad to hear it. I've been away, but I know all about the parental angst. I know how hard it can be on the psyche.

BTW - DTBK - is the exam over? I remember when my bro took it -- it was holy hell leading up to it. Hope you can celebrate it being over. When do you hear? October?

14. Yes, it was from Tuesday-Thursday
I will most likely hear on November 2nd. This was my third attempt, and I probably failed again, but I'll keep trying.

24. Yikes! My sympathies!
My late Fergie had that problem repeatedly (he lived to the ripe old age of 19, so don't let that freak you out). I'm glad you were on it right away. I know it's expensive, but Quinnie is most worth it! Hope the little guy feels right as rain soon!

25. No, unfortunately, it was my THIRD.
I think it went better this time, but probably still not good enough. Texas is most unforgiving. I studied my butt off and learned the material much, much better this time, but I still doubt it was good enough. Won't know until November, so I'm just enjoying life until then!
