That is to say, Victoria's Requiem Mass (the more famous 1611 one) - now I just need to figure out how to pay for a choir that good for my funeral, or start sleeping with enough good singers that they'll do it for free. ;)

It's a late seventies album of the Dutch (I believe) progressive-rock band Focus featuring vocals by the pop-rock singer P.J. Proby. I picked it up at the flea market the other day due to curiosity, and I'm liking it pretty well.

I felt nostalgic tonight so I'm playing old vinyls.
It seems so strange to see only 2 songs listed on side 4. I had forgotten that Do You Feel Like We Do was 14 minutes long.

Excellent CD - not much new here, but if you love Tom Petty, you should be quite satisfied. The lyrics are some of the best traveling/searching lyrics I've seen. And while quite a few songs are mid-tempo, they sizzle nicely. I give it an A-.
Earlier, heard The Long Winters' new CD at a full album listening party. Vocally, they remind me of the Counting Crows. I like the Counting Crows more, but the Long Winters' CD does have some pop/rock enjoyability.
I switched to grades in order to differentiate more, and an A+ gets used very sparingly. An A is a 100 at Metacritic.com, so that grade will usually do.
As a bonus, here's my updated 2006 ratings list:
