Have you ever noticed how news can sometimes take awhile to sink it?

A few days ago I asked my son where Katie (his girlfriend) was. He said she was taking a physical ... for the marines. A day later I asked if she joined and he said no, she had three more papers to sign. Today I asked what happened and he said Katie is a marine.

That was about two hours ago and I just started crying now. I thought it was odd I wasn't upset. I am growing more and more angry cuz her folks have always put her down and now I suppose they are proud as peacocks that Katie is making them proud. I hate them so much. I hate this fuc*ed up world so much.

I keep picturing her beautiful long legs being blown off. I know it is morbid but it is driving my thoughts and I can't make it stop. At least they could have told her to wait until the November elections.

I hate them.

On edit. I admire the marines and all, but it is such a bad time to join.
