1. Well, the first obvious one is
where did the name come from?

I know the answer, do you?

2. Two bluesmen
named Pink Andersen (sp?) and Floyd Council. Syd Barrett was a fan of both.

4. Woot!
Btw, their original name was "The Pink Floyd Sound", after they tried out "The Tea Set" and the "Architectural Abdabs".

7. That's the closest I've ever come
to a religious experience. I could have died happy right as Gilmour launched into the riff for "Comfortably Numb".

11. It's because
Roger Waters, Rick Wright and Nick Mason were all at architecture school together when they first got together as a group.

17. All I know
Eugene was a reference to the first line of "Point Me At the Sky", which "Careful With That Axe" was the B-side for. You may have stumped me!

guitar of "Run Like Hell."

16. Some friends of mine from high school named their band "The Gigolo Aunts"
after a Syd Barrett song.

They finally hung it up after many years of playing music and touring. There was a great picture of them in Rolling Stone a few years ago meeting David Gilmour.

18. Kick ass!
Gigolo Aunt is a rather odd song, much like most of Syd's compositions. It's an awesome name for a band.

22. I have a pre-Floyd question
My wife tells me David Gilmour was a fashion model before he joined Pink Floyd. Is there any truth to that?

24. if he was
he was probably the worst fashion model in history.

He was always a little on the chunky side, and though his long hair helped,

I don't think so.

He was and is one of the great guitarists of all time.

Fashion model?

Maybe, but I sincerely doubt it.

28. Are you a undercover cop?
I ask because there was this guy in my High School who listened pink floyd and wore pink floyd t-shirts; I swear he was an undercover cop because he wore late 70's concert t-shirts all the time and this during the mid 90's before kids thought this was the trendy thing, so he stuck out like a shore thumb. Also he looked in his middle 30's, and this guy only attended the HS for like 3 months so that supports this theory. So are you him or a another undercover cop and pink floyd t-shirts are like standard uniform to appear to be a High School student?
