Pierced people: A question |
|
Do your piercings ever become inflamed when you're sick?
I feel like I'm getting a cold, and my labret is swollen and tender and red. Also a gland right under my chin, and one on the left side of my neck. So that's my theory. I've had it for ten years. This happened once before and it was also when I was feeling under the weather.
Already just putting a cool chamomile tea bag on it, which is always soothing.
This isn't a medical advice thread, I'm just curious. Garden variety cold, no help/dire predictions/prescriptions necessary.

1. The only thing pierced on me are my earlobes, but yes... |
|
I have the same problem. It's just weird. The inflammation goes away a few days after the cold goes way.

2. It doesn't happen to me but... |
|
according to bmezine.com (it everything you could ask for about any sort of body mod), it is actually very common for piercings to flare up if you're sick or coming down with something. Some people also apparently get flareups around their periods.

7. I would just use sea salt on them. |
|
It will help draw everything out.
