2. Thank you.
But I think it just feeds my jones. Seeing those three together again, and the reality of the late 60's and early 70's, makes me very nostalgic and more fired up. We had our Dem reunions today, and sponsored a Chill-Out this evening. It felt like a family reunion. We're all charged and ready for the political season.

3. Relief Post #2 . . . "Layla" . . . Eric Clapton and friends . . .
don't know the event or the year, but I'd guess around 1970 . . . seems to be Eric with a bunch of all-stars, some of whom are hard to recognize because they're so young . . . I think I spotted Mark Knopfler, Bill Wyman, Charlie Watts, Steve Winwood, and Keith Richards . . . (really had to stare at Richards for awhile -- he looks alive) . . .

can't seem to get the second drummer, the piano player, or the curly guitarist . . . any help? . . .

I'm also damned if I can remember that percussionist's name . . . he appears whenever there's a major concert involving British rockers, and I think his first name is Ray, but after that I draw a blank . . .

enjoy . . . :)

8. Ray Cooper
I didn't click the link (very slow dialup here), but your clue gave me the name. Wish I had the time to download and watch. It sounds good. Hmmm, curly guitarist. Mike Bloomfield? Elvin Bishop, maybe?

9. Don't think that's Richards
If you mean the white, sleeveless shirt guitar that's Jeff Beck.

Curly hair is Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin).

The "other drummer" is Kenny Jones (The Who).

Yes the percussion, gong man is the ever-present Ray Cooper. Couldn't see the piano player.

Not sure but this may have been a benefit concert for Ronnie Lane (contracted MS) which would have been more like 1980s.

10. Oh, Jeez...
Now I'm gonna have to click it and wait forever (at 28k) to watch it. Jeff Beck is my all-time favorite, with about a dozen tied for second place. Thanks for the info. Now may as well get comfy, this is gonna take a while.

12. damn, you're right . . . that's why I stared at him so long . . .
looks WAY too good to be Keith . . . I didn't recognize Page or Kenny Jones . . . and I guess the piano player will remain a mystery . . . thanks . . . :)

14. I believe the guitarist next to Clapton is Jeff Beck and the other
percussionist is Kenny Aronoff. I could be wrong about Aronoff, but he looks just like the percussionist that played with John Fogerty on his "Premonission" tour. He looks like him, only with a little more hair and is just as animated.

I listen to my Layla CD all the time. Nice to see "It's Too Late" and "Layla" again. "Layla" was never the same after the death of the amazing Duane Allman in '71.
Thanks for the links! :yourock:
