CMT rerunning HeeHaw. Just saw Willie Nelson from 84. Wow. His voice |
|
was amazing. He played beautiful lead guitar. These shows are dumb and campy but there are some amazing musical performances worth checking out. George Jones, Tammy Wynette, etc.

4. Lots of dumbness to get a few nuggets. |

Ernie Ford singing with the gospel quartet, Hank Williams Jr. doing a throwaway boogie. I keep hoping for something by the great, under rated Kenny Price. No luck today.

still is. Talk about guitar playing I think Roy Clark would be hard to beat. Those were the days when country music was real country. I can't stand most of todays acts. The old singers grew up dirt poor and lived the songs they wrote, most of todays entertainers were just created by some PR agent for the recording companies. All hat and no cattle so to speak.

13. Thanks for the reminder... |

The Hee Haw gospel quartet sang beautifully. But I liked the silliness, too.
