4. It's not so much that they're hard to please... |

They collect as many reviews from newspapers/websites/whatever as possible, determine whether they're positive or negative and base the percentage on that.

It's directed by Neil Marshall, the same dude who did "Dog Soldiers." I loved that movie, so I'm eager to go see it.
Also, IMDB reviews were almost completely positive, and that's pretty hard for a film to do.
Edit: Ah, dude's last name is Marshall. Changing now.

Haven't seen the flick you talked about, but the "crawlers" as IMDB termed 'em, probably outclass its subterranean cannibals, from the looks of things (and the fact that the director, Neil Marshall, makes his creepy critters SMART).

11. I highly recommend it |

It's very creepy & atmospheric and fantastically shot with decent performances all round, but best of all it's actually scary. For reasons I'm yet to understand, the ending has been slightly changed for its American release but from what I gather that shouldn't make too much of a difference.
After the fantastic (although not for everybody -- see Ebert's review) Wolf Creek it was probably my favorite horror film of last year and Neil Marshall is certainly one to watch (Dog Soldiers is a great little flick for what it is).
