DAMN, it's raining hard!
Day one at my new job in Mississippi, and I think I'm going to have to shut down my computer. Major rain and thunder storms passing through! :(

1. Into every life, some rain must fall.
I'm glad I'm in the office for this and not the tin can. :hi:

Welcome to Mississippi sweetie

:loveya:

2. Good to be here!
:hi:

Our house is not ready. :( No plumbing fixtures in the bathroom, drywall dust everywhere and painting yet to be done. Before we left Denver Bruce told us we could move our stuff in even if we couldn't move in until later this week. Now we get here and he says we can't unload our stuff yet. :banghead: That's $40/day extra UHaul charge! :grr: It's coming out of the first month's rent, I can tell you that. Bruce is lucky usedtobesick is meeting him at the house today and not me. Really, usedtobesick has all the pastoral virtues, whereas even though I'm the minister, my sense of injustice often leads me to, erm, non-pastoral interactions when I feel wronged.

(See the nice way I say that my temper sometimes gets the better of me? Yes, I have a masters degree.)

5. I'll blow out the window in a northwest direction.
Goes against the jet stream, but I've been accused of being a blowhard in the past, so I'll give it a shot!

6. Dave Barry says...
"It always rains on tents. Rainstorms will travel thousands of miles, against prevailing winds for the opportunity to rain on a tent."

...Rainstorms will also travel thousands of miles to rain on FEMA trailers, apparently.

7. Pretty funny.
Enjoy your new job in the rain and hope you get your house together soon. Moving is so stressful.
