Norton Security Question
It is time to renew my Norton Security. I have a few problems though and desparately need some advice.

Number 1 is I went to renew through their site and didn't see the padlock icon that indicates a secure site, so I was reluctant to enter my credit card, and did not do so. It did however have a true verified icon in the corner of the site. So I guess my question is do you think it is safe since it is Norton's actual site, to send my information through?

The subscription is due in four days, and I am leaving tonight for three days. We are going to my sisters to get out of the dangerous heat. She has central air conditioning and we only have a window unit in one room. The dog is coming with us, and a friend will be checking on and feeding the cats.

I will have access to the internet but not my computer or my Norton account.

The other problem is I have been thinking about getting Road Runner if the cable company offers a good enough deal. That has it's own security though, and would conflict with Norton. So should I go ahead and spend the 40 dollars on the Norton renewal even though I might not be using it the whole year? I am not sure how quickly I can get the Broadband installed, or even if I will get it installed because it will depend on the rate I can get it at. So I can't make up my mind what to do!

Could I just depend on the security scans MSN does of it's e-mails, and my Windows firewall, in the meantime, if I don't renew Norton?

What would you ladies and gents do? Any suggestions would be helpful?

1. Norton is crap
Try NOD32. In the past I was using NOrton and was not happy with it. Some viruses were sneaking and it was slowing my computer.

Ever since I get NOD32, no viruses on my machine and the computer runs smoothly. I think NOD32 is much much better than Norton. Do yourself a favor and try it.
