1. I'll often hit the space bar one letter too early |
|
So, I end up with something embarrassing like, "Tell me abou tit."

I sometimes type pubic instead of public and spell check doesn't catch it; off goes another racy real estate appraisal. :hi:

A coworker has sent several apologetic emails (and at least one letter that I'm aware of) in which "I regret any incontinence that this may have caused you."
That's what he gets for misspelling "inconvenience."

"cunty" instead of "county"
I type too damn fast. And I type the word "county" all the time, so I have to watch this closely. Yeah, I do NOT want a document going out with THAT typo. Sheesh.

She used to work with a woman named Judy who drafted an email to their boss (who was male) and meant to sign it "Thanks, Judy," but mistyped her name in some way. The spellcheck transformed it from Judy to "Jugs."

7. Spell check can be your friend, or your worst enemy |
|
some words that you DO NOT want to be in the sentence can be spelled correctly, and grammatically correct in their form as a typo.
Those are the WORST.

9. Oh, I've seen some doozies |
|
I once committed the following: " does not discriminate on the basis of rage, creed, sex...."
Working in the financial print industry, I've heard of the following: "Deloitte & Douche" "financial testes" for "financial tests"
I was working on a prospectus for a metal processing concern in Mexico, but when it started talking about its Chihuahua smelters I had to leave the room.

11. Untied States of America |
|
I worked as a paralegal for many years. Some of our federal court documents were filed with "United" misspelled as "Untied."
Although, sometimes I think Untied States of America is appropriate.
